I can find used older Marlin 336's in good shape in the low $300 range all day long. Even cheaper if you want a Glenfield 30-30. I could probably get 2 Marlins or 2 1/2 Glenfields for the price of the Henry. As others have said, a centerfire lever action needs a loading gate.
